Can I subsidize the meal tax-free?

Yes, thanks to the tax-free meal allowance, you can create an attractive, fair catering offer and a real employee benefit for the entire team. The digital allowance is deducted directly in the Foodji app, so we guarantee 100% digital accounting - without any intervention in payroll accounting.

Is there a test phase?

Yes, before we enter into a long-term contract, you can test the Foodji at your location for three months - 100% risk-free.

What does a Foodji cost us?

Who sets up the Foodji for us? How does the installation work?

As Foodji offers a full service, our team will come to you and prepare everything for a smooth start to employee catering with Foodji.

What are the costs for your company?

You and your team have no work at all with the Foodji. We take care of the filling, maintenance and cleaning of the Foodji. Read more about our full service here. To install the Foodji, all we need is 1m² of space, any mobile phone network and a domestic power socket.

How does the Foodji work?

Foodji provides you with fresh food as a team. You can reserve your dish via the app and collect it directly from the Foodji. Simply scan the QR code on the screen and the Foodji will deliver the product you ordered. You can find more details about the unique Foodji here.

What is the Foodji?

The Foodji is a fresh food vending machine that ensures employee catering at your workplace around the clock. It acts as the smallest canteen in the world. If you already have a canteen, the Foodji can add healthy and fresh dishes to your range. It is important that the Foodji is permanently installed at your workplace and is not a catering or delivery service.

Can I rent Foodji for my office or business?

How does Foodji dispose of expired products?
Icon dropdown

With the help of artificial intelligence and specially developed algorithms, we adapt the range at each location precisely to the respective demand in order to avoid overstocking and the expiry of products. By restocking fresh products several times a week and monitoring best-before dates, we ensure that fresh products are always on offer. Products that nevertheless expire are disposed of properly in accordance with legal regulations.

What is Foodji doing to prevent food waste?

To prevent food waste from occurring in the first place, we use AI and specially developed algorithms to determine our customers' requirements as accurately as possible. This precise assortment planning enables us to create a balance between overstocking and understocking and always offer our guests the desired assortment. This allows us to generate up to 70% less food waste. If, despite precise, needs-based planning, there is still something left over, we donate the surplus dishes to voluntary organizations such as Foodsharing across Germany. In this way, we ensure that no meal goes to waste, but has a positive social and environmental impact.

How sustainable is Foodji's business model?

In all of our operational areas, we pay attention to sustainable implementation and the continuous optimization of our processes. Sustainability is the basis of our actions. We are already actively contributing to seven of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals and have firmly anchored them in our sustainability agenda. However, we are of course aware that we are not perfect: we learn, we process and we optimize. We always have ambitious goals for the future!

Is the packaging designed to be environmentally friendly?

All our main courses are packaged in recyclable disposable packaging, known as HALOPACKS. This innovative, paper-based packaging replaces conventional plastic trays and reduces the use of plastic by 70-90%. They consist mainly of a sturdy cardboard box lined on the inside with a thin, gas-tight plastic film. This means that our meals are packaged hygienically and leak-proof. After consumption, the packaging can be easily disposed of by removing the thin film from the cardboard tray and putting it in the yellow garbage can, while the cardboard tray goes into the waste paper and is 100% recycled there.

Are there seasonal or special menus?

Thanks to our growth, we are constantly expanding our range. You can currently choose from seasonal pumpkin dishes or sweet main courses. Here you will find a small overview of our varied range.

Can I view allergens and nutritional information for meals?

Yes, both before ordering in the Foodji app and on the Foodji screen as well as after ordering on the labels of the dishes.

Where is the food produced?

All our dishes come from Germany.

How is it ensured that there is something for everyone?

As soon as a Foodji is set up at your workplace, we send the entire team a survey to find out your preferences. Then there is the breadth of the range. Each location has at least 12 main dishes per week.  

I eat a gluten-free diet. Are there any dishes for me?

Yes, you can check the ingredients in advance. We also label the allergens. Find a small selection of our diverse range here.

How do you ensure that expired products are not offered?

As we sell fresh products and are regularly restocked, expired products rarely occur. If this is the case, the expired product is no longer offered for sale. We store the remaining shelf life of the products in our system and can control which products are issued by Foodji.

How often are the vending machines refilled?

This depends on your working hours. If you work in shifts, you can expect three fillings per week. If you work a five-day week, you can expect two fillings per week.

Are there vegetarian or vegan options?

Yes, 50% of our dishes are vegetarian and vegan.

Where do the ingredients for the meals come from?

We work with various selected suppliers and sustainable brands from Germany, such as Planted, dean&david and BettaF!sh. We pay attention to state-of-the-art, regional operations, selected fresh ingredients and sustainable planning.

How is the freshness of the food guaranteed?

Our suppliers only use fresh food with few preservatives. This and the unbroken cold chain keep our dishes fresh and delicious!

What kind of meals does Foodji offer?

With over 300 main courses, snacks and drinks, Foodji offers a wide range of delicious and fresh dishes. From pasta and salads to sushi, there is something for everyone. In our overview you can see a small part of our diverse range.

Can vending machine food be delicious?

Yes, of course. Especially when it's fresh food such as a salad bowl with goat's cheese, pasta and apple or a colorful vegetable curry with sweet potatoes from the Foodji.

I received an invoice even though I didn't buy anything that day.

Your orders are not always billed on the same day. Billing is triggered as soon as your orders have exceeded a total of €10. If you have made a purchase for less than €10, the amount will be debited on the 28th day of the month. The exact day of purchase is stated on each invoice item.

Will I receive an invoice?

As an app user, you will automatically receive an invoice by email. Invoices are generated and sent as soon as

- your orders in total exceed the amount of 10 €.

- the 28th day of the month has been reached (for all remaining amounts under €10.

 

o You bought directly from the Foodji Screen?

 

We will be happy to issue you with an invoice for your Foodji Screen purchase on request. Please contact our customer support and have the following information ready:

 

- Which Foodji did you shop at?

- Date and time of your purchase

- Which product did you buy?

- The full billing address you require and an e-mail address to which we may send the invoice.

 

My camera image remains black when I pick it up (QR code scan) at Foodji.

Please check in the system settings of your smartphone whether you have enabled your camera for the Foodji app. To do this, open your settings, search for the Foodji app and activate the camera function.

How can I join the subsidy?

Make sure that you have selected the correct Foodji. Then click on the yellow bar that invites you to the subsidy program.

You must enter a code for authentication. You will receive this code from your employer.

Authentication is done using your company email address. Make sure you have created your Foodji account with your company email address.

How do I pick up my app order from Foodji?

To pick up your app order at Foodji, click on "Pick up now".
Your camera will now open. Now go in front of your Foodji. With your camera, you can easily scan the QR at the bottom right of the screen. Your order will now be issued!

How do I find the right Foodji in my app?

Use 'Foodjis near you' to find all the Foodjis in your area. Select the Foodji with the name of your location. To make it even easier, you will also see how far away the Foodji is.

Please make sure that your location services are properly enabled. To do this, open the menu "Settings" in your Foodji app and click on "Location settings". Now you will be redirected to the settings of your smartphone, where you can enable the tracking for the Foodji app.

How do I register with the app?

You will need an e-mail address and a password for this. Please do not forget to confirm your e-mail address before placing your first order. If you do not receive the verification email,please contact our support team.

My automatic debit did not work.

As a rule, you can simply pay your bill manually. To do this, open the email you received following the failed direct debit. You can pay your invoice by credit card using the link in the email.

Please also contact our support so that we can check your deposited means of payment together.

My SEPA limit has been exceeded.

Please make sure that your subsidy budget is sufficient for your order or has possibly already been used up.

If several orders are active, please note that the subsidy is always applied to the first order.

I cannot add a payment method to the app.

Please check whether your deposited means of payment is sufficiently covered and valid.

Please contact our support for your next purchase. Payment methods that cannot be used will be blocked by our system for security reasons. Our team will be happy to help you re-enable your payment method for your next purchase.

How can I pay at the Foodji?

You can make cashless payments directly at Foodji using a debit card, credit card (Visa, Mastercard), Apple Pay or Google Pay. In the Foodji app, you have the option of entering a SEPA direct debit, a credit card (Visa/Mastercard) or Apple or Google Pay.

My foodji is not available.

If the Foodji Screen indicates maintenance work or is offline, our service team has already been informed automatically and is working at full speed to get it up and running again as quickly as possible.

I can't open the flap on the Foodji.

Please do not try to open it with force, but contact our support team.

The product I ordered is no longer available.

If you have purchased your favorite dish through the Foodji app, it is automatically reserved for you for a period of 6 hours. If your reservation is no longer available, please check if your order was placed more than 6 hours ago.

Your order was placed less than 6 hours ago and is still no longer available? In exceptional cases, it can happen on filling days that a product ordered in the morning has been exchanged by us for a new dish. In this case, you will receive a push notification. You do not have to pay for your dish and can choose a new dish. Your subsidy will be automatically reactivated for you.

I have not received my order/my product.

How can I order at Foodji?

You can either order directly at Foodji via our touchscreen or shop via the Foodji app.

 

Want to order using the Foodji app?

Download the Foodji app from the Google Play Store or the Apple Store. Register and enter your preferred payment method. Then select your Foodji via "My Foodjis" and "Foodjis nearby". You will now see the entire available range and can add your favorite product to the shopping cart just like in the online store. After ordering, your product will be reserved for you for up to 6 hours and ready for collection.

 

You want to order directly at the Foodji?


You can also shop directly at Foodji without logging in or registering. To do this, unlock the home screen with a quick tap on the touchscreen. Now you can see the entire available range. Add your favorite products to the shopping cart using the "+" icon and then make a cashless payment at the payment terminal.

Can I have a say in the assortment of my foodji?

Yes, in a joint initial survey, your team tells us what they like to eat and we use AI to create a Foodji that is tailored to your team and their eating habits.

How often is my Foodji filled?

This depends on your working hours. If you work in shifts, you can expect three fillings per week. If you work a five-day week, you can expect two fillings per week.
