BettaF!sh TU-NAH now available in Foodji food vending machines

Berlin, May 02, 2023 - Just in time for World Tuna Day, BettaF!sh together with Foodji now supplies offices, airports, train stations, hospitals and production sites across Germany with the tastiest plant-based tuna alternative TU-NAH.
As the latest products, ready-to-eat sandwiches and salad bowls with BettaF!sh TU-NAH complement Foodji's fresh, healthy and high-quality range - and also ensure authentic taste here thanks to seaweed. It is above all the sustainability concept that links this partnership: while BettaF!sh relies on the regenerative cultivation of European seaweed, Foodji controls its range with the help of artificial intelligence to prevent food waste.

Berlin-based food start-up BettaF!sh and young food tech leader Foodji are teaming up to celebrate World Tuna Day and serve ready-to-eat sandwiches and salad bowls with TU-NAH just in time. With the latest products in the range, Foodji customers can finally taste more sea - where they need fresh, healthy and high-quality meal snacks. Controlled by artificial intelligence, the range adapts entirely to local demand, thus avoiding food waste. This innovative and sustainable idea is also supported by the Berlin-based start-up, which itself focuses on regenerative solutions to protect the oceans, and therefore sees the partnership as a match made in heaven. BettaF!sh co-founder Deniz Ficicioglu says: "This is exactly why we originally developed BettaF!sh TU-NAH, because we want to be a sustainable, delicious alternative to canned tuna in everyday life. With Foodji, we're one step closer to that.

From now on, ready-to-eat sandwiches and salad bowls with BettaF!sh TU-NAH will be available in Foodji food vending machines all over Germany, revolutionizing the supply of employees in offices and production facilities, commuters and travelers, employees in hospitals and spaces with maximum hygiene requirements. Nicolas Luig, Co-Founder and Head of Food at Foodji, is also looking forward to the cooperation: With BettaF!sh TU-NAH, we are convinced that we can offer our customers the most delicious tuna alternative. Finally, our plant-based product range will be expanded by a product that is good for us and the oceans."

"With BettaF!sh, we show that sustainability can taste good and be affordable for everyone. The overwhelming feedback from consumers and restaurateurs on our tuna alternative motivates us to continue to develop delicious products and thus promote the rescue of the oceans and their fishy inhabitants,'' says founder Deniz Ficicioglu. BettaF!sh products are now available throughout Europe in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Denmark, the UK, Greece, France and Spain in both the restaurant and food retail sectors. BettaF!sh stands for healthier oceans and a delicious, plant-based future - starting with the ever-popular canned tuna. By establishing seaweed in the local food culture, BettaF!sh is creating a demand for this unique seafood to build a long-term sustainable as well as regenerative alternative for fishing communities across Europe. "We can proudly say that our BettaF!sh products have a regenerative effect," says Jacob von Manteuffel, founder of BettaF!sh, adding: ''In fact, with every TU-NAH product eaten, consumers are making their own small contribution to reducing bycatch, CO2 emissions and overfishing. Since launch, we have already saved 126t of tuna and another 128t of bycatch.'
